We just wanted to write to say thank you to Ozlem and Salman for all their help and assistance in the purchase of our property in Turkey.Right from the start, before we even arrived, they both put them selves out to find suitable villas for us to view. Ozlem was brilliant with all her translating. She took us through the whole process, making sure we understood what was going on.If anyone is considering buying a property in Turkey I would not hesitate to recommend Damlacan Property Ltd. I would also be willing to speak to any prospective purchasers personally if they had any questions they would like to ask. Many thanks once again for all your help!!

Message: This article is rather long, but hopefully it will help you and give you an insight into buying property in Turkey and through Salman Kurt.

We work and live in England and have visited many resorts in Turkey over the years for holidays and have always enjoyed the country and it's people.  In our opinion, you will not find friendlier people anywhere.

In 2005 we felt that the time was right to look at the possibility of buying a property in Turkey.  We decided to look at properties in Kusadasi, as we felt that it was first and foremost a lovely holiday resort, but secondly that it was an all year round town, not just a holiday resort and not one that closed down and became a ghost town during the winter months.  Some do and this could be important if you're thinking of living there permanently either now or at some time in the future.

We did a lot of research on the internet and contacted several Estate Agents then narrowed our list down to the two that we felt gave us the most help,  had answered our many questions well and we felt happy with.    Salman answered all of the questions he could and on answers he wasn't sure about, advised us to contact other people he'd sold to, for advice - after all they'd been there and done that before us!!!

In March 2005 we decided the next thing to do was to travel to Turkey and have a look.  We contacted the two Estate Agents that had been the most helpful to us, Salman being one of them.  Purely by chance, Salman happened to be the second Estate Agent  that we saw on our trip to Turkey.   We spent the first two days with a very helpful agent, but unfortunately during the two days with them looking at many properties, we had not seen anything that was right for us.  On day three we met with Salman and what a great meeting that turned out to be.

Salman immediately determined what we were looking for:  e.g. Villa, Apartment etc., how many bedrooms, and what price range.  Our choice was for a Villa and he soon realised that there was no compromise on this and so quickly ruled out all the Apartments he had for sale, lot of time saved there!!!!   Our price range he stuck to also.

Salman had listened to our needs extremely well, took us to see a property he had in mind and we fell in love with it & decided to buy it, we didn't need to look at others to know that this was the right one for us.   We have to add here that Salman was willing to take us to see several other properties he felt  were right for us, but by his "listening" and finding us the 'right property', there was no need for that and an awful lot of time and effort was saved.

Salman sorted everything out for us and in such a friendly yet professional way.  He took us to the Government Office to make everything legally binding, advised on many issues to make sure everything was done correctly.  The buying process in Turkey is very different to the one in the UK, but Salmon led us through it all.  In our opinion it's very important to have an Estate Agent that you feel happy with & feel you can trust and again in our opinion, Salman is this man.  We feel very fortunate that Salman was our Estate Agent.

Our property is 10 years old and was being decorated/refurbished etc by the current owner.  Salman drew up an agreement (made legally binding by the Government Notary)  that we would buy on the understanding that the work was completed and within a certain time span.  We had to return to England leaving completion of the work & purchase in Salman's care, again with no problems. He even emailed us photos of the house to see how it was taking shape -what a great feeling of excitement to receive these back in England.

We have only now just returned to Turkey (June 2006) but have been in regular contact with Salman by email since last year.  We went to see him on our return where he had everything ready for us, keys, deeds, the lot, with everything in order.

Nothing has ever been too much trouble and we can't sing his praises highly enough.  Salman said he would take care of everything and this he has done.  He has carried on helping us in numerous ways even after the purchase.   Salman employs a lady called Ozlem who we met in June 2006 and she has helped us in numerous ways as well.  We felt like we were visiting friends when we called in to see them both in June 2006 - no longer clients, but friends.  Salman is a true business man, his brain works/thinks very fast and at times  you may find that you'll have a job to keep up with him!!!, but he's a great guy and will always do his best for you.

We are NOT EMPLOYED BY SALMAN OR HIS COMPANY NOR EARN MONEY/COMMISSION FROM HIM for writing this article.  We have been clients of Salman's and want to let others know how helpful he and Ozlem have been to us.  The best way we can think of even trying to repay them is by telling others about them.  If you are thinking about buying a property, we would have no hesitation in recommending Salman and his company .  We bought, over a year ago now and have no regrets, infact wish we'd done it sooner and we're still filled with excitement about our purchase.   Turkey seems to be an up and coming market as far as properties are concerned and the prices have already started to rise.   Have a look at his website, contact him/Ozlem if need be as you'll find them both very helpful,  visit Turkey to look if you're thinking of buying - there's nothing like seeing the properties for real.  Some Estate Agents seem to advertise properties at "low" prices to tempt people to look/visit, we don't feel that Salman does this as we found that his prices reflect reality, which means no disappointment when you get there.

If we're able to help you further or if you have questions that you think we might have the answers to, then please feel free to email us.  We're not experts and don't claim to be,  but we have been through the process and will possibly have had the same queries as you might be having.  We remember that we too had loads of questions when we were looking to buy and were reassured by others who'd been there before us.

Please feel free to email us on col4jun@ntlworld.com if you feel we can help.

Best wishes in your property hunting.
